Catapult Technology Appoints Brian Murphy as Director, Business Development

Catapult Technology announces that Brian Murphy has joined the company as Director, Business Development on the Enterprise Systems team.

Brian’s addition to the Enterprise Systems team will go a long way toward strengthening our customer base and building upon our established presence in the Defense sector.

Catapult Technology, Ltd., a leading federal government contractor that provides a wide array of information technology and management consulting services, announces that Brian Murphy has joined the company as Director, Business Development on the Enterprise Systems team.

Murphy will be responsible for capturing new business within the Defense sector, identifying opportunities and leading the development of proposals. He will also establish business relationships with teaming partners as part of capture strategy.

“Brian’s addition to the Enterprise Systems team will go a long way toward strengthening our customer base and building upon our established presence in the Defense sector,” said John Scarcella, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Systems.

Prior to joining Catapult, Murphy held the position of Senior Federal Business Development Rep at L-3 Communications, identifying and closing business and helping grow the company’s Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts and Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC). He closed $21 million in new revenue over the three years and helped grow the IDIQ and GWAC contracts by 21%.

As Vice President, Federal Sales at JRM Resource Management, he was responsible for ensuring that five direct federal sales representatives performed up to standards, managed their accounts effectively, and drove revenue in adherence to client standards. His agency focus included the Department of Defense, the Department of the Interior, the Air Force, Navy, Army, and others.

Over the course of his career, Murphy has held a variety of positions with other firms including CrossMatch Technologies, ADS Inc., and Allnet Communications.

Murphy reports to John Scarcella, Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Systems division of Catapult.
