Net company growth is falling in Tamworth

The statistics in our latest report for Tamworth reflect the difficult economic conditions we are seeing across the UK as a whole

Staffordshire town, Tamworth experienced a drop in net company growth during the third quarter of last year, according to recent research by company formation agents, Duport.co.uk.

Between July and September, the company register increased by just 29, compared to 54 in the third quarter of 2011. However, the UK company share of the town did rise slightly during this period.

Tamworth council is working on regenerating the area with its Local Plan, which is set to run until 2028. The main aims of the plan are to raise the aspirations of residents, create opportunities for business growth and improve the physical and technological infrastructure of Tamworth.
