HMHP Physician Associates announces the opening of a comprehensive cardiology practice in Columbiana, Ohio - providing superior care in an area in need of cardiology services.

HMHP Physician Associates is proud to announce the expansion of cardiology services into Columbiana County. Columbiana Cardiology is now open.

The practice, located on State Route 14 in Columbiana, offers same-day appointments and extended hours.

The staff at Columbiana Cardiology includes board certified cardiologists David Belvedere, MD, FACC ; Robert Houston, MD, FACC ; Penny D’Souza, DO; and John David Scrocco, MD.

Dr. David Belvedere, completed his residency in internal medicine with Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Belvedere then pursued a fellowship in cardiology with Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Penny D’Souza, attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Garden City Hospital, Garden City, Michigan Dr. D’Souza is trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular issues with a special interest in women’s heart health.

Dr. Robert Ross Houston Jr. completed his medical residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a cardiology fellowship at Presbyterian University Hospital through the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. John David Scrocco, a Youngstown native, completed residency in internal medicine at Summa Health System in Akron, OH and a fellowship in Cardiology at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Case Western Reserve University, MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. In addition to his practice, Dr. Scrocco also serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown, OH.
