Appmosphere is excited to announce that it is now providing a fixed-price solution offering for enterprises that are considering implementing Windows 8 mobility into their business.
With the recent shift organizations are making toward mobilization, many companies, especially ones that already use Microsoft operating systems, are considering Windows 8 mobility solutions, but are unsure how it will work within their environment. While there has been substantial buzz around the new Windows 8 offerings, businesses still have many questions regarding what it means to them.
Appmosphere’s solution offers a hands-on engagement to evaluate and help deploy a Windows 8 tablet or smartphone solution within a business environment in order to provide the foundation for a successful sojourn into the relatively untested sphere of Windows mobility.
The engagement will come at a fixed price regardless of hours and materials, and will be focused around three Playbooks. Organizations may need any combination of consultation services offered within these Playbooks, but these will offer a good starting point for those unsure of where to begin.
The first Playbook is based around User Experience. Appmosphere wants to understand what types of users will be on the receiving end of a Windows 8 deployment. Within this Playbook, Appmosphere will discuss issues such as user acceptance policies, adoption issues, employee training, and assessing how a Windows 8 deployment will impact or improve user productivity.
The second aspect will be an Apps Playbook, which will cover issues surrounding the applications that will be used post-deployment. These issues include the commercial apps that will be used by the end-user, any business-specific apps that will need to be incorporated, and any custom applications that may need to be developed to meet a business’s goals. The Apps Playbook will also cover necessary issues like an internal app store used to push apps to a company’s employees.
The final of these non-exhaustive Playbooks is the Infrastructure Playbook. This will cover actual deployment strategies of mobile devices, device security issues, connectivity, supportability, and the remote management of devices in the workplace.
Eric Stein, Appmosphere’s Mobility Practice Manager, says, “Businesses and schools are already getting on board with the new Windows environment, and are seeing the positive effects of becoming mobilized. Organizations have the opportunity to get a jump on their competitors and may see a boost from clients and stakeholders by switching to a Windows mobile solution.” Appmosphere makes getting started in Windows 8 mobility simple by providing businesses with the right tools and the support they need.
