Leading continuing education provider adds six new premium Seminar-on-Demand video courses for licensed massage therapists., NCBTMB approved provider of online continuing education for rehabilitation professionals, expands their catalog of video-based courses this month with six new offerings designed specifically to fulfill the continuing education requirements for licensed massage therapists. The new Seminars-on-Demand cover a wide range of topics including therapeutic yoga, structural integration, HIV/AIDS education and professional ethics for massage therapists. These courses are available for purchase now in the course catalog.

"Therapeutic Yoga 1" and "Therapeutic Yoga 2" by Lu Mueller-Kaul, LMT, MA, are three hour courses aimed at providing massage therapists with a basic knowledge and understanding of yoga in order to be able to better communicate with clients who practice yoga and to give educated advice on how to prevent injuries. Therapists will also gain a better understanding of how to treat injuries which result from the improper practice of Yoga, and how to use a basic yoga flow for self-care.

"Structural Integration 1" and "Structural Integration 2", also by Lu Mueller-Kaul, describe the system of looking at the body in the context of how it is influenced by gravity. Therapists will be instructed on testing and evaluating posture and function, and developing a series of treatments using massage and bodywork techniques within the SI context in order to achieve lasting changes in the structure of the body.

"HIV and AIDS: Relevant Information for Massage Therapists" is the fifth course from Lu Mueller-Kaul, LMT, MA. HIV-education is mandatory in some states because of the risk of discrimination against HIV-positive clients. In this one hour course therapists are presented with information about the disease and it's methods of transmission and how to treat HIV-positive patients without the worry of infection.

"Ethics in Therapeutic Presence" by Suzanne Scurlock-Durana, CMT, CST-D, examines the healthy boundaries that are critical for any bodywork practice. In this four hour Seminar-on-Demand therapists will look at the skill of "full body presence" as a way to develop and enhance boundary awareness and as a way to help them feel more grounded and energetically full. They will explore the full theoretical spectrum from permeable to semi-permeable to rigid boundaries and what is necessary for dealing ethically with the intimacy of the therapeutic connection that's intrinsic to bodywork.
