Themed cruises are a trend on the rise, with themes to suit any individual, from beer-themed cruises with brewing beer on board the ship to Dances with the Stars theme cruises. As a preferred partner of Windstar, Cruise Sale has announced three theme cruise packages for 2013. Cruise Sale’s latest themed Windstar voyages include car racing adventure at Monaco’s Grand Prix, legendary golf courses on the Gaelic Coast and a voyage to sacred sites of the world’s greatest religions.

Guests on board the May 21st voyage of Wind Surf, the largest of Windstar’s three sailing yachts, will be able to attend the Grand Prix auto racing event in Monaco. The package features preferred seating for Saturday’s preliminaries and Sunday’s race, as well as dinner at the renowned Café de Paris and a gala event at the world-famous Monte Carlo’s Grand Casino. This themed voyage includes seats in Section K at the race, which overlook the famous Tabac Corner, one of the most challenging sections of the race.

The Legendary Links package is an exclusive golf and land tour add-on, where guests can play five world-famous courses across Scotland and Ireland. The package also includes a two-night hotel stay in Edinburgh as well as two shore excursions. Guests on board the August 24, 2013 cruise of Wind Surf will be able to consult with an onboard golf pro. Famous courses visted with this package include St. Andrews Jubilee, Cruden Bay, Struie at Royal Dornoch, Dunluce at Royal Portush and Castletown, the last course played by golfing legend Mackenzie Rose.

The third theme cruise is the Footsteps of Faith voyage, an exploration of some of the most famous religious sites in the world. The sacred places of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam visited in this package include: the monastery of St. John, the Greek ruins of Ephesus, the home of the Virgin Mary, the Mount of Beatitudes outside Nazareth, and the ancient city of Jerusalem. In these places Ross Arnold, noted lecturer and expert in world religions, will provide lectures and insight at each port.
