HelloSign launches the first plugin that allows users to edit and sign documents without leaving Gmail.

“HelloSign for Gmail is awesome!” - Paul Buchheit, creator of Gmail

Launching today, the HelloSign for Gmail plugin is taking the simplicity of eSignatures to new heights. The plugin creates a seamless user experience by enabling Gmail users to open and sign email attachments in Gmail. Now contracts can be signed without the need to download from Gmail and upload to another site.

By keeping the eSignature process in the email workflow, HelloSign estimates that most contracts can be signed in 30 seconds or less. That is light years faster than the best-case situation just a few years ago when documents needed to be printed, signed and scanned. HelloSign for Gmail will be the productivity tool for busy people who work in BD and sales, not to mention C-level executives.

Gmail creator Paul Buchheit said, “HelloSign for Gmail is awesome!”

“We looked at the document-signing process and saw a lot of unnecessary friction,” said HelloSign CEO Joseph Walla. “So we scrapped everything and set out to make the process of responding to a signature request as easy as possible. Since virtually every signature request comes via email, we built the signature process into the email workflow and the result is the easiest way to sign a document.”

The HelloSign for Gmail plugin is built exclusively for signing documents in Gmail and is available in the Chrome Web Store. For further eSignature functionality, such as sending a signature request or creating a template to be signed, users are encouraged to go to http://www.hellosign.com.
