A new invention is set to hit stores that allows consumers to walk along with a suitcase without pulling it. Currently a prototype the ‘Hop’ suitcase is Bluetooth controlled and follows the radar omitted from your Bluetooth function on your mobile phone. A recent YouTube clip which has around 35,000 views shows a man slowly walking in front whilst the small suitcase follows behind simply tracking the Bluetooth signal.
Spanish designer Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez explained, ‘It’s not working 100 percent and it’s not ready for the market but it’s something I’d like to develop. I think in the future it’s something we could see often.’ The designer is set for good things after being awarded the Spanish version of James Dyson Award and since studying Innovation, design and engineering in London.
