Miami, FL (PRWEB) January 20, 2013
On January 20th, 2013, leading cigar provider TrueTobacco.com will be donating the proceeds from every blunt the company sells to the Autism Society of America. If you're an aficionado of these popular round tip cigars, mark your calendar.
Throughout 2013, TrueTobacco will be supporting the efforts of many of the national and international organizations that make a positive difference in our lives. On each one of the company's designated Days of Service, one nonprofit will be the beneficiary of all proceeds made that day through the sale of one of TrueTobacco's popular line of products.
"We believe in giving back," says TrueTobacco general manager Nick Gordon. "We couldn't have achieved the high level of success we have if we didn't have a community rooting for us. We're rooting for our community as well. Of course, if you're an Internet business, your community has a broader geographic base."
Approximately 1.5 million Americans have been diagnosed with autism, a complex disorder that affects the development of the brain. The Centers For Disease Control and prevention say that 1 out of every 88 American children has autism.
The disorder is characterized by repetitive behaviors and a high degree of social awkwardness. In many cases, autism is also associated with cognitive deficits, an inability to concentrate, sleep disorders and poor motor coordination. Sometimes, however, autism is associated with enhanced abilities in math, music and art
Scientists don't fully understand the causes of autism. The disorder appears to be rooted in the very earliest stages of brain development. In the past 40 years, the number of autism diagnoses has risen 400 percent. Though improved diagnostic techniques may be partly responsible for this increase, most medical experts agree the incidence of autism appears to be rising.
The Autism Society of America is one of 36 organizations TrueTobacco.com has singled out for support throughout 2013. On a pre-designated day, True Tobacco will be donating all proceeds from one of its many popular product lines to each of these organizations. It's a win/win situation for customers who can show appreciation for their favorite nonprofits by purchasing high quality cigars and cigar-related products at very affordable prices.

About blunts: The term "blunt" was once used to describe any type of cigar that as wrapped in a continuous leaf. These days, however, the term is more often used to describe cigars with broad or rounded tips, as opposed to cigars with more tapered points. TrueTobacco.com sells Phillies Blunt Cigars, which come in many different flavors such as peach, apple and grape, as well as the more upscale Garcia y Vega.
