Remodeling is well underway on Silverton Health’s (http://www.silvertonhealth.org) 90,000-square-feet Woodburn Health Center (WHC). When the project is complete in spring 2013, it will be a multi-faceted health center, serving a growing population along the corridor from Salem/Keizer to Wilsonville and Molalla to St. Paul. Centralizing important health services in Woodburn will provide more convenient and streamlined care for citizens of the east Willamette Valley.
The $1.8 million construction project will bring many of Silverton Health’s Woodburn services under one roof. Woodburn Family Medicine and Woodburn Internal Medicine, both currently located on Ray J Glatt Circle, will join Woodburn Immediate Care, Woodburn Specialist Center, and Woodburn Surgical Center at WHC. Other services located at WHC include intensive cardiac rehabilitation, a fitness center and Business Health Services which offers an array of health and wellness programs to area employers.
Silverton Hospital will continue to be the main location for inpatient services including illnesses requiring hospitalization, surgery and birthing.
Inside WHC, a large registration area will make it easier and faster for patients to sign in for their medical appointments, from women’s services to orthopedic, cardiology and other specialty care, to diagnostic imaging to outpatient surgery.
The architectural firm on the project is Clark Kjos while Triplett Wellman is the general contractor.
Silverton Health, an independent healthcare organization, has been serving the mid- and east-Willamette Valley for nearly 95 years. In addition to its flagship, Silverton Hospital the growing organization has clinics in Silverton, Mt. Angel and Woodburn.
