Gilbane Building Company is pleased to announce that Paul J. Choquette, III has been promoted to senior vice president and will now be overseeing all operations for the company’s Mid-Atlantic Business Unit. Mr. Choquette, a member of the fifth generation of the Gilbane family, most recently served as regional business development manager for the Mid-Atlantic region, which encompasses Maryland, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia. During his tenure in the region, Gilbane played a critical role in the construction of landmark projects including Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital, the U.S. Capitol Dome Skirt Rehabilitation, the National Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Monument, and the District of Columbia Public Schools Dunbar High School project. Mr. Choquette is the first member of the fifth generation to become a senior vice president for Gilbane.

In his career with Gilbane Building Company, Mr. Choquette served in a variety of positions including superintendent, project engineer, business development manager and area manager. He has actively pursued continuous learning and development and was selected to attend elite leadership training with both the Global Institute for Leadership Development and FMI (Fails Management Institute) leadership development training. Mr. Choquette holds an MBA from Northeastern University, a Bachelor’s degree in History from Brown University and is actively involved in several community outreach initiatives including the Trust for the National Mall, DCBIA, AGC, New England Council, and ACE Mentoring.
