Ideas.ZaneBenefits.com Allows Employers, Brokers and CPAs to Help Develop Small Business HRA Solution

Zane Benefits, the leader in health reimbursement accounts, today announced a new Idea section of its website: Ideas.ZaneBenefits.com. The new Idea section is a central location for employers, employees, insurance agents and CPAs to submit ideas for the ZaneHRA solution. All Ideas will be reviewed and commented on by the Zane Benefits Product Team.

According to the website, once an idea is submitted, it will be entered into the new Ideas section of ZaneBenefits.com. The new module will allow you to make suggestions and vote on the best ideas for ZaneHRA.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) includes provisions to lower individual health insurance premiums for Americans with household incomes below 400% of the federal poverty line, or FPL. Experts argue that the premium tax subsidies available on the individual market will cause many small businesses to drop employer-sponsored coverage and switch to defined contribution health benefits (via HRAs).

“Healthcare Reform, or the Affordable Care Act, creates substantial change in the employment, health insurance and accounting worlds,” says Rick Lindquist, President of Zane Benefits. Zane Benefits’ solution, ZaneHRA, allows an employer to name its price. Rather than paying the high costs to provide a specific group health plan (a "defined benefit"), employers instead fix their costs by establishing a monthly HRA dollar amount (a “defined contribution”) that employees choose how to spend.

Zane Benefits’ Partner Program allows health insurance brokers and CPAs to distribute a custom version of ZaneHRA. The customizable options include branding of the platform, pricing and revenue sharing. Additionally, insurance brokers can have special “Get a Quote” links within the platform forward to a website or quote engine of their choice.

Example Broker Idea:

Please give me the ability to customize the welcome packet that employees receive for ZaneHRA, I want them to know what number to call and website to visit to get health insurance.

>This idea has been implemented by the product team. As a result, health insurance broker partners can customize the ZaneHRA employee welcome packets.

Example CPA Idea:

Please give me the ability to have limited account access to my employer clients HRA reporting. The automated Form 720 and Form 5500 information reporting is great, but I would like to be able to access this information on behalf of my client.

>This idea is being implemented by the product team. As a result, Zane Benefits is redesigning user roles within ZaneHRA. When this idea is implemented, an employer will be able to assign limited account access for third parties to access reporting information (e.g. CPAs, health insurance brokers and payroll representatives).

Example Employer Idea:

Add operant instructions in the FAQ area. For critical tasks, it would be very helpful to be able to download a step-by-step instruction sheet, perhaps with screen shots.

>This idea has been implemented by the product team. As a result, Zane Benefits launched a new section of its website, Help.ZaneBenefits.com, with step-by-step tutorials for ZaneHRA.

Example Employee Idea:

It would be nice not to have to type in the long insurance company name or long dentist practice name, over and over. The auto-fill could look at the previous claims submitted and save me all the typing.

>This idea is being implemented by the product team. As a result, Zane Benefits will maintain a data-base of health insurance companies and providers to allow auto-completion during the ZaneHRA claim submission process.
