A particular mention goes to the sales team at Clearview Home Improvements after five salesmen at the company managed to achieve a Top 10 position

The annual Top Dog competition run by nationwide home improvement company Conservatory Outlet has started as it began after Jim Oliver of James Oliver Conservatories was announced as the overall winner for 2012.
Jim set the early pace in the competition when he first triumphed in January. Since then he has put in consistently strong performances; going on to take the spoils on five other occasions throughout the year including for the final month of December to help secure Top Dog status.
A particular mention goes to the sales team at Clearview Home Improvements after five salesmen at the company managed to achieve a Top 10 position, with salesman Andy Reynolds just missing out on the Top 10 by one place despite only joining the competition in May.
The honour of overall Top Window Sales Advisor went to Nick Trigg of Mid Wales Windows who managed to see off a late surge from several rival salesmen including Clive Brimmell of Housemaster Home Improvements.
Clive achieved the rare feat in December of winning the Top Window Sales Advisor award and taking the Largest Window Order; the latter being an award he won three times during 2012.
Eager to encourage more network salesman to join 2013’s competition, Conservatory Outlet has confirmed that the format for Top Dog will slightly change. A new points-based system will come into force where entrants will accrue points according to the financial value of their sales.
Conservatory sales and double glazing window sales will be weighted differently so that salesmen who specialise in double glazing window sales can now compete with those who sell more high value products such as conservatories and orangeries, and one all-inclusive league table can be operated.
More prizes will also be available each month providing competitors with more opportunities to win, the new system also takes into account what kind of products are being sold, as well as the financial value of sales.
