PlayCore, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of play and recreation products, will be holding Continuing Education Symposiums in Fairbanks and Anchorage Alaska on January 29 and 30. Part of PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, the two sessions will promote best practices in making play a priority in communities by revealing research on play value from the world’s leading play scholars. The session will also promote methods for planning, funding, designing, building and sustaining play and recreation spaces, and feature an interactive design discussion.
Designed for professionals in the fields of park and recreation, landscape architecture and education, the symposiums will begin at 10:00 am and will be held at Pioneer Park Exhibit Hall in Fairbanks on January 29, and Spenard Recreation Center in Anchorage on January 30. Hosted by Sitelines Park & Playground and GameTime, sponsored by the Park and Recreation departments in Fairbanks and Anchorage, and led by master trainer Anne-Marie Spencer from PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, the sessions offer Continuing Education Units for professionals and promise to be lively, informative, and educational. Lunch and education resources will be provided.
