EDDM2Go is an easy, cost-efficient way for small businesses to take advantage of getting their messages out to potential customers in their own neighborhoods.

Direct marketing firm, Progressive Impressions International (Pii), is holding the line on prices of its Every Door Direct Mail® (EDDM®) products. Its website, EDDM2Go.com, offers bundled pricing and turnkey services that support the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) program, which delivers mail to recipients on carrier routes. In less than a year, EDDM2Go has printed and mailed nearly 3 million EDDM® pieces.
While the economy is showing signs of recovery, many small businesses are still struggling to keep their doors open. Generating new and repeat sales from local foot traffic remains a critical factor for success. “Maximizing your marketing budget — no matter how small — is paramount to the survival of a neighborhood business,” says Ron Drenning, Managing Director of EDDM2Go. “That’s what makes the EDDM® service such a perfect choice for small businesses.”
However, the pending USPS postage increase might eat up a little more of an already small budget. The increase, which goes into effect on January 27, 2013, raises the cost of EDDM®-Retail from $.145 to $.16 per piece. “Even though the amount doesn’t seem like a lot,” says Drenning, “those pennies add up. We have decided to hold the line and not increase our prices of EDDM® products at this time.”
EDDM2Go’s posted unit prices include the cost of printing, postage and delivery of the pieces to the local USPS facility that will distribute to carrier routes. “We use the EDDM®-BMEU service, which allows us to mail more than 5,000 pieces per day on behalf of many customers," explains Drenning. "The per piece postage cost for EDDM®-BMEU is not rising as much as EDDM®-Retail. We truly believe using EDDM2Go is an easy way for small businesses to take advantage of getting their message out to potential customers in their own neighborhoods. We are committed to keeping that as cost efficient as we can. In fact, we believe every business should try this service!”
Another way EDDM2Go is showing their support for small businesses is to lower the minimum quantity from 1,000 down to 500. This change comes in response to feedback from potential customers who said they wanted to try the service before committing to a larger campaign. Now, a customer can spend as little as $275 to mail 500 quantity of a 6.25” x 9” 4-color postcard printed on coated cover stock.
“Now more than ever, it makes sense to shop around and make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck,” says Drenning. “With EDDM®-Retail, you need to get your piece printed, fill out all the postal paperwork, drop off the material at the post office and pay $.16 per piece for postage — all those costs add up. Letting us do it all for you may mean a lot less work and a little less cost as well.”
