Greenville, SC (PRWEB) January 20, 2013

Eleos Technologies, a software company focused on mobile applications and business process automation, announces its Drive Axle™ mobile document scanning platform has been chosen by Prime Inc., one of America's most successful trucking companies, for use by all its divisions (Refrigerated, Flatbed, and Tanker).

Prime recently launched a new mobile app, developed entirely by Eleos, enabling drivers to log in using their Prime account and then scan documents remotely. The app runs on all iPhone and Android smart phones and tablets. High-quality document images are sent directly to Prime without the cost and hassle of faxing or truck stop scanning, and without risking damaged or lost originals. Documents are typically transmitted in a minute or two with the benefit of auto-indexing for efficiency and same day billing

Rodney Rader, Director of Technology for Prime, says that Prime wants to maintain control of its mobile technology while leveraging Eleos’ best-in-class document scanning capabilities. “Document scanning is just the beginning. We will add many other functions to the app, integrating with our unique enterprise processes and creating powerful tools to increase efficiency and make life easier for our drivers. Eleos has deep expertise in both mobile and enterprise software development. Embedding their powerful document scanning technology into our mobile app allows us to keep control over the unique aspects of the mobile experience while avoiding the insanity of trying to develop mobile document scanning on our own.”

Kevin Survance, founder and CEO of Eleos Technologies, says IT leaders like Rader are increasingly demanding smarter integration options from their technology providers. “Our embeddable components allow fleets to tailor their mobile apps to their unique requirements while leveraging Drive Axle for scanning features that would be risky and costly to develop in-house. The great news is that we have the skill and resources to also develop the overall mobile app on a work-for-hire basis.”

Prime is the 23rd largest For-Hire Carrier based on revenue in 2012 according to Transport Topics with over 5,000 trucks and 7,500 refrigerated, dry van, flatbed and food grade tanker trailers serving the continental United States, Canada and Mexico.

Introduced to the transportation and logistics category in 2011, Drive Axle is used by drivers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and several other countries. Drive Axle was recently selected by Accellos Prophesy for turn-key integration with its freight dispatch software system.
