This week’s online video series “Mission Possible: Portraits of Hope” produced by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders features Ethan, a ten-year-old boy from Los Angeles who was able to recover from autism after receiving intensive ABA therapy.

This week, the Center for Autism and Related Disorders’ (CARD) “Mission Possible: Portraits of Hope” online video series will feature the amazing story of a boy who fully recovered from a diagnosis of autism after receiving applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy from CARD.

Ethan was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at two years of age. At the age of three, Ethan began receiving 40 hours of ABA therapy per week from CARD therapists in Los Angeles. Their efforts ultimately proved fruitful, as three years later, a new evaluation demonstrated that Ethan no longer qualified for a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. His story is part of an ongoing series featuring individuals who have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

“Mission Possible: Portraits of Hope” highlights their personal journeys, challenges, triumphs and proves that the mission to overcome the challenges of autism and succeed socially, academically, and vocationally is possible with effective treatment.

“Nothing motivates us more at CARD than to see our families and clients succeed,” says Doreen Granpeesheh, Ph.D., BCBA-D, founder and chief executive officer of CARD, the world’s largest provider of effective, early-intensive behavioral intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).
