After publishing her autobiographical work, Moments in Time: A Model’s Book and her cookbook, Where You All From…A Cookbook, former cover girl Claudia Rhodes feels that now is the perfect time to write a children’s story for children all over the world. Therefore, she moves away from modeling and cooking and jumps right into storytelling. Rhodes shares a “wag whale of a tale of three adorable pug puppies” in her delightful newly published picture book, titled Snoot to Snoot: 3 Pugs Tail.
Rhodes’ book is a story about three pugs and a mom. Rhodes saw her very first pug puppy in a New York store window. That time, she had just come home from St. Croix VI and mourned the passing of her precious Bijon-Freja, her companion by her side for several years. Suddenly, “How much is that doggie in the window?” was not just a childish tune playing in her head, but a passionate desire tugging in her heart. She fell in love with the puppy and bought her on the spot. She named her first pug pup Ginger-Spice.
After Ginger, Rhodes adopted two more pug pups. Veronica became Ginger’s new sister, followed by a baby black pug Fritz, named after Rhodes’ dear friend. Finally, the family was complete. They often ate together, slept together, played together, and lounged lazily on the couch and watched movies together. Everything seemed perfect until one day one of the pugs went to “doggie heaven.”
“Like your so loved children, your animals all have special & different personalities,” states Rhodes. “You love them all in different ways. But in the end we love them equally…”
Filled with interesting pictures and valuable lessons on life and love, family and pets, Snoot to Snoot: 3 Pugs Tail is a touching storybook that children will surely hold close to their hearts, both literally and figuratively.
