The Wings Club, the world’s premier aviation club, honored Veterans Advantage today for its commitment to recognize and thank America’s active duty, veterans and their families with important private-sector benefits.
“We are proud to be honored by the Wings Club, whose 70+ years of achievement traces an historic path for modern aviation and air travel, and captures the spirit of service with so many of its members who have served our country over the years,” said Veterans Advantage Founder and Chief Executive H. Scott Higgins, a Vietnam Veteran.

Wings Club President Bruce Whitman, an Air Force Veteran and President and CEO of FlightSafety International, presented the award to Scott Higgins on behalf of Veterans Advantage in a special ceremony at the Yale Club in New York City. He hailed “Veterans Advantage’s commitment to partner with patriotic companies who offer preferred pricing on their goods and services as a thank you for service to our country.” In his remarks, Whitman acknowledged United Airlines, a Wings Club Member Company, and United’s pre-merger partner Continental Airlines for its contributions in honoring America’s servicemen and women and their families with exclusive savings on its flights through Veterans Advantage. Executives from United Airlines also attended the event.

“Veterans Advantage reflects the military experience of Scott Higgins and his fellow Vietnam veterans. They believe as we do that those who serve the country should be properly honored and thanked for their service,” said Whitman. “They are delivering on a vision which pre-dates 9/11, and today we recognize their contributions and commitment to honor all who serve this great country with real and tangible benefits,” he added. Whitman also recognized Medal of Honor Recipient Paul Bucha, and media executive Gerry Byrne, who serve on the Advisory Board of Veterans Advantage.
