LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) January 25, 2013
Extraordinarily blessed. These two words sum up the life that the Rev. Fr. Gino Vanzillotta has lived ever since he has surrendered himself to God. His first two dreams, to become a priest and become a missionary, have become his ministries. However, he did not expect that a simple hobby will also become a ministry one day. Today, Vanzillotta carries on his prayer and ministry through his collection of inspirational and religious poems in his newly published book, titled Poetry # 3 Serenade To Baby Jesus.
Vanzillotta has already been serving as a priest and as a missionary in the United States for several decades when an old hobby of his presented a new opportunity to minister to the faithful. This new book is already his third poetry collection since 2005. Readers are able to relate easily with his prayerfully sincere and down-to-earth poems such as The Wind, Strawberry, The Clock, and Fishing Pole, or with timely verses such as these from his title piece: “Facebook or iPad, you don’t need. Your love flows faster, than our mind can master.”
Poetry # 3 Serenade To Baby Jesus is more than simply a poetry book. It is a book of pious devotion set in creative poetry, teaching readers the seamless union of the spiritual and the physical, the religious and the mundane, the transcendent and the immanent. It is a book that gathers the faithful together to serenade Christ.

About the Author
Fr. Gino Vanzillotta was born in Italy in November 1929. His parents’ sincere devotion and example of piety nursed and urged him on to fulfill his vision for priesthood. Training and scholastic curriculum took him to Rome. In the Eternal City, he attended college, philosophy course and theology studies at the “Angelicum” University, staffed by International Dominican Professors. Ordained a priest, he started the ministry as associate Pastor at a local parish. Appointed Director of a minor seminary, he gained teaching experience and learned sociology and psychology by practice. He flew to New York in June 1967 and commuted for Los Angeles. The hard work of a large parish, All Saints, took all his time and energy. Here, he really became aware that to serve is a noble profession. He tried his best without counting the cost. Exonerated by the office of pastor at his request, he remained there as “associate.” In the spare time, he followed an old hobby, poetry. He felt comfortable with this secondary activity. From the year 2005 to this day, he has printed a couple of books of poetry before this one. His poetic vein is not exhausted. As a big brother he dares to say: younger generation, try harder until the end. Life is action.
