Now today, Joseph Aronesty and is launching another world’s first: a social network for wig wearers. “The truth is wigs are a commodity that is often suddenly needed on short notice and the only place to get information online is from wig vendors. But wig shops have their own inventory to sell, and their advice is motivated partly in the spirit of help, but also partly in the spirit is selling what hey already have in stock.”

The site is called and there you can ask advice from other wig wearers who have actual experience wearing wigs. And you can also offer others advice. There’s no cost to join, in fact WigSalon will send you a discount coupon to apply to their already world-famous low price wigs from famous name brands such a Raquel Welch, Revlon, Jon Renau, Envy Wigs, Rene of Paris and Noriko.

Joseph Aronesty is a bit of a Renaissance man. A published song-writer, philosopher, author of a book on language history, and also creator of the world’s first real e-commerce web site, After his father passed away Joseph sort of inherited a wig business, and just in time. His venture into real estate development in the late 80’s found a dead end when interest rates sky-rocketed and only the wig business was there to support his family. Then he got a call from his oldest son Erik, who was on the ground floor of internet development.

Something new was about to start, and his son knew how to create software that could even offer click and buy, something totally new to the world in 1995. There were some sites offering call in and buy, but no one had a shopping cart and a comprehensive web site in 1995, when did. Joseph says, “People don’t know that wigs were the first item sold on the internet. And back then, our first clients were men, because they had the computers in 1995, and wigs fit onto the background of personal and even sexual ads which pioneered on the internet. The second item that sold on the internet was high-heel pumps. Sexual toys in essence, act as wigs in some way. ”

I wanted to talk more about wigs with Mr. Aronesty, but since his book is being released in April, all he wanted to talk about was words. Joseph’s soon to be published book is called “Deciphering the English Code”. It traces the English language back to origin of a pre-Babel language which was based on body/sign language and the human anatomy and environment 100,000 years ago. “You lift your tongue to say lift. Before we spoke, we lifted our arms to say lift. We just transferred that thought to our tongues, once we got control of them. Language creation was really that easy.”

Today Joseph’s son Erik uses his computer skills to help doctors cure cancer via genetics. And his son Michael helps him run WigSalon. To contact Joseph Aronesty, reach him via email from joe(at)wigsalon(dot)com.
