New York, New York (PRWEB) January 29, 2013
Charles Skamser and Brad Mixner, two thought leaders in the Electronic Discovery industry, to day announced the formation of Zetta Discovery Group, a joint venture that leverages vast industry experience and cloud-based technologies to manage the "Big Data" associated with litigation, arbitration and investigation, whether it be around the corner or around the globe.
According to IBM, we create 2.5 quintillion bytes of data every day— so much that 90% of the data in the world today has been created in the last two years alone. And IDC says that the total amount of global data was expected to grow to 2.7 zettabytes during 2012. This was 48% up from 2011. Noting this explosive growth of data, Mr. Skamser and Mr. Mixner founded Zetta Discovery Group with a mission to provide law firms, corporations and other service providers with innovative solutions to cost-effectively manage this exponential growth of data.
Zetta Discovery Group takes a fresh approach to information governance and electronic discovery. Whether it be developing a bespoke solution for a unique challenge or adapting cutting edge technology from another industry, the company has a unique blend of experience, technology, knowledge and resources that provides cost-effective solutions to end clients.
Zetta Discovery Group will be organized under two Practice Areas, Advisory Services and Technical Services, and each will have a variety of specialty subareas including Information Governance, Investigation & Analysis, Data Collection, Data Analysis, Cloud eDiscovery and Document Review & Production.
Cloud eDiscovery will be a primary focus of the company, both in advisory and technical services. Zetta Discovery Group will provide clients with the following electronic discovery services in the Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) Model:
The company will be based in Boise, Idaho with facilities in Cleveland, London, New York City and Singapore. The company will also leverage additional international technical facilities in Dublin, Hong Kong, London, Sao Paolo, Singapore and Tokyo.
“I decided to form this joint venture in response to my Global 100 and AMLaw250 clients consistently requesting assistance with identifying a pure cloud based solution that supports the entire eDiscovery lifecycle,” said Charles Skamser, Founder of Zetta Discovery Group. “I believe the financial ROI for cloud computing is compelling and therefore the demand for eDiscovery in the cloud will quickly eclipse the legacy eDiscovery model,” added Mr. Skamser.
“I like to say that our heads are in the cloud,” said Brad Mixner, Founder of Zetta Discovery Group. “We are at the forefront of leveraging cloud computing technology as a key resource within information governance and eDiscovery, developing end-to-end solutions that leverage cloud-based technology platforms and best practices to maximize our performance, reduce our costs and expand our capabilities,” added Mr. Mixner.
In celebration of the company launch, Zetta Discovery Group will be offering their flat rate Cloud eDiscovery service for US$200 per gigabyte of discovery data. This limited time offer includes:
