Since the 1st January, we have seen a massive increase in footfall to our high street outlets. We would expect a seasonal increase but we are currently carrying out substantially more property valuations than the same time last year.
Manchester, Lancashire (PRWEB UK) 30 January 2013
There is a definite air of confidence in the housing market with many positive indicators that the sector is showing shoots of recovery.
Data from Google Trends confirms that there has been a significant increase in traffic year on year since 2009. Figures for 2013 are already showing that there has been a 30% increase on 2009 with over 3 million searches for the term ‘houses for sale’. In addition, there has been further positive news with the announcement that house prices showed a rise of 0.3% in November, which culminated in an overall rise of 0.9% for the year. This is excellent news for homeowners who have faced very uncertain times in the last few years.
North West based estate agent, VitalSpace, is also seeing signs of growth with increased interest from homeowners looking to sell their home and the increased traffic highlighted by Google Trends stresses the importance of the internet in purchasing a new home. Richard Antrobus, Director, said, “We have registered increased visitor numbers to our website from lead generation sites such as Right Move and Zoopla and we felt that the time was right to make sure that it was fit for purpose. We appointed digital media experts, Jungle Media to look at our site and they have introduced some exciting new features which will enhance the user experience.”
One such feature is increased search ability so that clients have access to a wider database to help them find a property that ideally meets their criteria. VitalSpace will be utilising the Dezrez API software to enhance their database.
VitalSpace also has high street outlets and enquiries in person reflect the increased figures from Google Trends. Richard Antrobus continued, “Since the 1st January, we have seen a massive increase in footfall to our high street outlets. We would expect a seasonal increase but we are currently carrying out substantially more property valuations than the same time last year.”
With all the positive indicators for the housing market, the coming year looks set to allow buyers and owners alike to feel more confident and relaxed.
