The 2013 Global Markets Law Writing Competition has been announced by The Global Markets Law Journal, hosted by the Center for International Law at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
Entries may address any subject that deals with the intersection of financial markets and law. The first prize winner will receive $5,000, with their article published in the summer 2013 issue of The Global Markets Law Journal. The second prize is $2,500 and the third prize is $1,000.
The writing competition is open to practicing lawyers, academics, policymakers and law students. Entries must be the work of a single author and may not have been submitted for publication elsewhere.
To be considered, all entries must be submitted by April 15, 2013, at 5 p.m. CST to globalmarkets(at)jmls(dot)edu using the subject line “Writing Competition.” All submissions must include the author’s name and contact information (email, postal address and telephone number). Law students are asked to include their law school and anticipated year of graduation.
