In his new book-length poem “To Dust Consigned” (published by Trafford Publishing), author Feza Aazmi considers the question of worldwide gender conflicts through the lens of his faith and with the wide-seeing eye of an academic.

Aazmi hopes his verse will, as he says, “remind humankind the intent of the Creator: The commandments glorious proclaim, man who ill-treats female progeny forfeits favor to seek divine mercy, a sinner he becomes so depraved Allah turns away from him.”

An excerpt from “To Dust Consigned”:

“A world in which
All human beings
Are equal
No one inferior
No one superior
In the promised kingdom
Of God”

Aazmi’s verse has been recognized already as a powerful force. Dr. Manzoor Ahmad writes “Feza Aazmi has come to project a distinctive philosophy of life and times,” while Professor Fateh Mohammed Maliks says his verses “live and glow in the same manner as that of Hali’s Mussaddus and Iqbal’s Shikwa and Jawabe Shikwa.”
