Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) January 31, 2013
AAI Inc., a leading global distributor of electronic components, integrated circuits, and computer products, announced that it has continued its record business momentum through the fourth quarter of 2012 as demand for electronic components has remained high. It has also added Fortune 500-level customers to its portfolio, expanded its influence in key international trade shows, and has implemented several new quality control initiatives to set the stage for continued business momentum.
By the end of 2012, AAI added over 100 new vendors to its network and completed business with over 200 new customers. AAI reports that its momentum was achieved, in part, by pursuing an aggressive business development plan which included participating in key electronic & computer tradeshows such as the 2012 International CES (Consumer Electronics Association) show in Las Vegas and the 2012 IFA (International Consumer Electronics Unlimited) show in Europe
Tom Mahoney, Founder and CEO of AAI Inc. commented on the company’s performance. “At the outset of 2012 we identified several key areas for business growth. First was to add more key accounts to our customer list and second was to add more vendors to our network. We exceeded our goals on both counts and feel that we have built a solid platform to build on our success well into the future.” Mahoney continued, “As we look ahead, we are very excited about identifying new areas for growth as well as moving into our new facility later this year.”
AAI’s commitment to product quality was also noted as an additional contributor to business growth in 2012. In 2012 AAI expanded its quality control initiatives with a new set of processes and procedures to ensure maximum client satisfaction with components acquired from AAI. The new quality control procedures affect all aspects of order fulfillment including:
- Vendor Selection
- Quality Management
- Continuous Improvement
- Receiving and Packing
- Component Testing
- Component Inspection
- Out of Box Audit
James Connelly, Vice President, of AAI, talked about the impact the improved quality control processes had on the business. “Competition in our industry can be fierce, and one way to distinguish ourselves is by ensuring that every order we ship meets or exceeds the quality control expectations of our customers. The improvements we have made to our internal processes have already made a positive impact on our business and we will continue to make product quality a top priority.”
