The challenge of getting the 140 boys to focus on the camera was sorted once we had them singing their hearts out, producing awesome sounds. Being there in the flesh was a definite goose-pimple experience… you had to be there.

hedspace media had the pleasure of working with Relentless Records and Sony Music Entertainment UK. on an amazing debut album for the Welsh choir ‘Only Boys Aloud’.
These young men are embracing choral singing to broaden their horizon and grow self-esteem.
London based media company 'hedspace.net' have just finished the album cover, commissioned by Sony. The album follows the choir’s rise to fame on the hit TV show, Britain's Got Talent.
Photographer Paul Rider, who has worked with bands such as Rolling Stones, Queen, The Pet Shop Boys and Kaiser Chiefs, worked with hedspace media to create the cover for the current album and the soon-to-be-released Christmas album.
The photo shoot was in Wales at the historic site of Blaenavon Ironworks, chosen because of its industrial heritage and the beauty of the area. The town was very accommodating by providing a choir of 140 boys, some watching with eager interest as the photo shoot developed through the day. Coordinating so many young men aged 14 – 19 for a photo shoot is quite a challenge. hedspace media had to be prepared for both rain and sunshine, and be sensitive to everyone’s needs.
The challenge of getting the 140 boys to focus on the camera was sorted once we had them singing their hearts out, producing awesome sounds. Being there in the flesh was a definite goose-pimple experience…you had to be there. Something you can experience by listening to their new CD.
hedspace media designed the cover and inserts for the CD, along with the logo for the album. Paul Rider’s photographs are available with the album. Simply visit Amazon.co.uk http://amzn.to/NIA9su or your local music retailer for a copy.
