New York, NY (PRWEB) January 31, 2013

Bendheim is introducing decorative Restoration Mirror™ to interior designers and design-savvy homeowners. The exclusive new “antique mirror” combines the charm of old-world wavy window glass with the luster of silver. It can add a sophisticated touch to both traditional and contemporary home decors.

Restoration Mirror is made with Bendheim’s exclusive Restoration Glass®, featured in high-profile buildings such as the White House, Mount Vernon, and Monticello. It is mouth-blown using centuries old window glass-making techniques and tools, and features occasional waves, bubbles, and “imperfections.” The mirror is carefully applied to the glass sheet and coated with a special protective backing in order to preserve Restoration Mirror’s brightness and reflectivity over the years to come. Unlike most antique and vintage mirrors, Restoration Mirror does not have the dark, smoky look associated with old age.

“Restoration Mirror is truly a home decor product, a new take on antique mirror,” said Robert Jayson, President of Bendheim. “Antique mirrors are becoming a popular choice in both traditional and modern homes. Restoration Mirror is mouth-blown, offering a luxurious antique feel without the tarnished appearance.”

Available in sizes up to 32” x 37”, Restoration Mirror can be installed in contemporary or vintage painting and mirror frames, adding old-world charm and drama to hallways, living rooms, and dining spaces. It complements traditional home decors, adds balance to ultra-modern interiors, and can accomplish a variety of design goals: from serving as wall art to reflecting and dispersing light in order to brighten a room. Restoration Mirror can also be installed in kitchen cabinet doors.

Restoration Mirror is the latest addition to Bendheim’s online collection of more than 150 decorative glasses available directly to homeowners, cut-to-size and ready to install.
