Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) January 31, 2013
Hedstrom Fitness, manufacturer and distributor of the BOSU Balance Trainer, and Core Interaction, developer of the Pocket Trainer fitness APP, jointly announced today the signing of a co-development deal, designed to create and launch a new authentic BOSU Exercise App.
Grounded in exercise science, Hedstrom Fitness is committed to the pursuit of ideas that provide new unique methods of exercise with innovative products such as the BOSU Balance Trainer which debuted in 2000, and since has become one of the most successful fitness training products in the world.
“BOSU is the one piece of exercise equipment that works as the affordable hub to any fitness program with its simplicity, versatility and portability,” said Mike Kelly, CFO, Hedstrom Fitness. “And, Core Interaction, with its already proven and successful Pocket Trainer platform, has a great track record for developing dynamic exercise application-based programs. Together, our goal is bring new ideas to the fitness marketplace to motivate and assist consumers to better achieve their performance and fitness goals while increasing the variety and amplifying the effectiveness of their workout regimens. And, we’re starting with the BOSU Complete Workout System App.”
Core Interaction prides itself on being a recognized leader in digital fitness. With the introduction of the Pocket Trainer Mobile App in 2009, the easy-to-follow exercise app has since become a top choice among professional trainers and smartphone carrying exercisers alike.
“This joint development effort is focused on enhancing the BOSU exercise experience,” said Eric Hess, President of Core Interaction, and himself a professional trainer. “We know that people as well as companies choose BOSU for their exercise programs, and having a BOSU Exercise App is a natural extension of that choice. As a trainer, I know that using BOSU products along with our advanced programming will produce that extra edge.”
With so much emphasis placed on individual and corporate wellness these days, industry experts speculate that the co-development agreement will build upon the industry-wide success of BOSU for providing total body functional fitness workouts that enhance not just fitness and performance, but also health.
“This is an example of two companies working together to help people exercise for the benefit of good fitness and health,” continued Hess. “When you put a team like this together, many good things are going to happen.”
How will we judge? By keeping an eye out for the new BOSU Exercise App.
