Shortly after publishing her autobiography—a debut work, titled With A Smile—author Faye Rothstein comes back with an intriguing romance fiction in Rainbow Enterprise. Rothstein’s newly published book is about the adventures of two young women, footloose and fancy-free. They firmly take readers by the hand and lead them on a memorable journey of looking for love; how one finds that dreams do come true, and all the adventures and misadventures in between.
Told in a first person narrative, the story wastes no time in disclosing to the readers the main character’s struggles as a young woman married at a very young age. Worse, the heroine desperately attempts to reconcile her raging hormones causing her great appetite for sex, with and a husband who is quite insensitive and inconsiderate in bed. Worst still, she discovers a selfish secret that he has hidden from her that would have prevented the marriage. Thus opens the drama that Rothstein brilliantly weaves for her readers.
“A young bride is like a plucked flower; but a guilty wife is like a flower that had been walked over.” At the outset, these words by French novelist, Honore de Balzac, may seem like the words to describe Rothstein’s new book. However, as the story builds up, readers find out that there are still many dreams to be discovered and lessons to be learned. Ultimately, they realize that although this is a work of fiction, it carries Rothstein’s characteristic belief in family and relationships, as well as in the strength of a woman’s soul.
Stirring, sincere, and sizzling with romantic scenes, Rainbow Enterprise is a book that not only evokes feelings of nostalgia, love and commitment, but also rekindles passion. Rothstein has indeed cleverly crafted a book worth dedicating to “all fun-loving people in the world” eager to make all their dreams come true.
