Smiling is the universal language
Coppell, TX (PRWEB) January 31, 2013
Advance Business Capital, provider of full service factoring to the transportation industry, today announced that it has collected over 300 toothbrushes and 100 tubes of toothpaste as part of its Big Smiles Campaign. In February, a group of employees from Advance Business Capital will travel to a village outside of Acajutla, El Salvador with Living Water International. During the week-long trip, they will help the village gain access to a safe, sustainable drinking water source by building a water well. The toothbrushes and toothpaste collected in the Big Smiles Campaign will be used as part of the hygiene education the group will also provide to the village.
“I think the people we will be working with will be excited that we were thinking of them prior to our arrival,” said Debbie Smith, Operations Manager at Advance Business Capital and El Salvador trip participant.
For Jason Mullican, Vice President of Channel Marketing at Advance Business Capital, the impact is more than teaching proper hygiene. “Smiling is the universal language,” he said. “If in some way this will make someone smile or feel better about themselves, then it is something worth doing.”
At least 783 million people around the world lack access to clean drinking water. Water-related diseases cause 2.2 million deaths each year. Safe water, sanitation, and clean hands could prevent 90 percent of these deaths. In partnering with Living Water International, Advance Business Capital is excited to being a part of providing water for life, one village at a time.
