Best Companies was established in 2000 and aims ‘to help make the world a better workplace’ and to be ‘one of the main contributors responsible for the humanisation of every industry’.
The organisation awards the accreditation based on its four founding principles of care, humility, responsibility and discipline, seeking to benchmark and accurately rank UK companies based on these values.
The Two Star status is given to organisations who display ‘outstanding’ performance across areas such as: leadership, training and development, employee wellbeing, employee engagement, pay and benefits and having a positive impact on society.
DANBRO underwent rigorous assessments before being awarded the Two Star, which included employee surveys, organisation questionnaires and onsite interviews.
“An excellent achievement”
Quality and Development Manager, Emma Hollindale said: “Best Companies is widely recognised as the benchmark for employee engagement, so to be awarded the Two Star rating is an excellent achievement.”
“We have a number of initiatives setup so our employees have their say in how the business is run and it’s one of our core values”.
Managing Director, Damian Broughton, said: “Employees are the most crucial part of any business and it’s important they have the ability to constructively say what they think. This accreditation has ensured an excellent start to 2013 for DANBRO”.
