aecKnowledge, a leading provider of advanced online knowledge sharing and continuing education for architects, engineers and construction professionals, announce the development of an Elder Wisdom video series featuring distinguished architecture, engineering and construction professionals who have made significant contributions over decades of practice. The series, which will be available free of charge, will target a national audience with an added emphasis on emerging professionals who can benefit from the insights of people with vast amounts of experience and wisdom.
The series will be curated by Tim Culvahouse, FAIA, a renowned author of architectural publications and the AIA California Council’s Editor-in-Chief. “It is essential to capture the wisdom of our most experienced colleagues--the elders of the profession. We can't afford to let their insights slip away,” stated Culvahouse. “aecKnowledge’s skills at capturing oral histories on film will serve as a tremendous resource.”
aecKnowledge has retained Emmy award-winning filmmaker Rick Johnson to film and edit the series. Rick’s background in online education and documentary filmmaking, coupled with his extensive experience as a story teller and videographer, will add texture and a narrative arc to each of the high-definition Elder Wisdom videos.

To date, aecKnowledge has lined up filming of Jack MacAllister, FAIA, who worked closely with famed architect Louis Kahn, and with Charles Davis, FAIA, George Homsey, FAIA, and Peter Dodge, FAIA, the three living founding partners of San Francisco-based architectural firm EHDD. The series will be expanded nationwide to include a cross-section of illustrious practitioners.
