Infinity Medical Equipment recently conducted a service call to a remote site in Nigeria through Cisco’s WebEx. The healthcare consulting group, IME, consistently strives to find innovative ways to assist companies to provide the best healthcare possible.

“Replacing existing diagnostic medical equipment can be extremely pricey; repairing it is typically a better option. However, when it comes to small remote locations like a diagnostic center in Nigeria, getting a qualified engineer to take a look and repair the faulty equipment can be very expensive. A reliable engineering resource must be accessible and available within hours or days, not weeks or months. Here at Infinity Medical Equipment, we have been working to address this issue and have seen great success with our first remote service call,” stated Lee Ropiak, founder and CEO of Infinity Medical Equipment.

Located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, providing a medical equipment engineer to the Georges Diagnostic Centre would have been costly. With the help if IMS, the remote center was able to receive the help they need to continue serving the community through an intuitive video conferencing program.

“We are very happy with the results we received from working with the Georges Diagnostic Centre. We hope to continue our work with them as well as expand to other locations who need an engineer but struggle financially to support one travelling to them. We believe this new program will continue to be a great success,” continued Ropiak.

The new inexpensive solution is applicable to all diagnostic imaging sites in Africa.
