Grand Traverse County Joins Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network

Grand Traverse County has joined the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN), an online procurement system that gives vendors instant access to online bid opportunities. Part of a nation-wide e-procurement solution powered by BidNet, MITN offers a bid system for vendors looking to do business with local government and provides local governments with a vendor management solution.

Grand Traverse County has joined the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN), an online procurement system that gives vendors instant access to online bid opportunities.

Grand Traverse County joins 117 other local government agencies utilizing the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network. Part of a nation-wide e-procurement solution powered by BidNet, MITN offers a bid system for vendors looking to do business with local government and provides local governments with a vendor management solution. MITN purchasing agencies connect to a nation-wide network through BidNet’s e-procurement solution, which manages 14 government purchasing systems throughout the United States.

Grand Traverse County joined the system on Tuesday, Sept. 24 offering vendors instant access to online bid opportunities, addenda, and award information. Grand Traverse County invites all local vendors to register on the bid system, http://www.mitn.info, to receive access to its bid opportunities and those of other participating local government agencies. Vendors who register can receive real-time notification and advance notice of contract expiration terms. Benefits of registering include:

  •     Access to even more local government opportunities
