Qualaris has deployed its mobile auditing software solution, QualarisAudit(TM), with Catskill Regional Medical Center, a hospital within the Greater Hudson Valley Health System. Qualaris’ software tools are enabling staff to assess and drive improvements of compliance with evidence-based best practices in patient safety. With these improvements, hospitals can support activities to reduce the incidence of hospital acquired conditions such as infections, falls, and pressure ulcers.

“One of our major challenges in patient safety is ensuring that the dozens of best practices in delivering safe care are consistently carried out,” said Rolland V. Bojo, Jr., RN, MSN, CFR, Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer at Catskill Regional Medical Center. “Existing solutions are time-intensive and unable to meet our analysis and collection needs for efficient, organization-wide improvement,” Mr. Bojo, Jr. continued. “Qualaris’ enterprise solution helps us manage 13 tailored applications and nearly 100 audit elements with ease, saving our staff time. We are excited to continue working with Qualaris to improve our patient safety practices and improve outcomes for our patients.”

According to Christina Haff, MPH, CPH, Infection Preventionist at Catskill Regional Medical Center, “Over the past four months, Qualaris has worked with me to automate all of my infection prevention data collection, analysis, and reporting activities. I am able to provide staff with current and relevant data, without having to spend hours compiling it. Their software tools have saved me time and I am now able to focus on improving clinical practices rather than collection.”

Qualaris plans to expand its software services to other patient safety initiatives at Catskill Regional Medical Center including pressure ulcer prevention over the next 6 months.
