Growth Acceleration Partners, a rapidly growing software development company specializing in web, mobile and enterprise applications, announced this week that Paul Brownell has been appointed partner.
Now in his fourth year at Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP), Brownell leads the firm’s web, mobile and design practices while focusing on the delivery of on-time, on-budget and high-quality software.
“Paul’s unique background and skill set help him translate business vision into superb technical execution,” said Joyce Durst, co-founder of GAP. “He’s a great product strategist and an inspiring team leader.”
Brownell specializes in Agile software development, a methodology that speeds time-to-market, improves product quality and enhances customer satisfaction. Brownell’s key roles include managing accounts and developing product strategies for GAP’s customers. In addition, he builds and develops top-notch teams responsible for near-shore software development and testing.
“Paul also has an ability that is incredibly rare among highly technical people,” Durst added. “He can explain technology to our clients in a language they can understand and appreciate.”
Prior to joining GAP, Brownell was a senior director of R&D for BMC Software, a billion-dollar enterprise software company, where he was part of the management team of a $250 million division. There he spearheaded the implementation of the Agile development process, in addition to managing distributed global teams in the United States, Canada, England, Israel, India and other Asian locations.
“My passions revolve around helping our clients to succeed and grow their businesses via top-notch software solutions,” Brownell said. “I’m excited to take on the role of partner at GAP, where the drive for excellence and great customer relationships is paramount.”
To give back to the community, Brownell serves on the boards of directors for local not-for-profit organizations, College Forward and The Next to New Shop.
