Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet performance solutions, announced the hiring of Matt Engel, former partner at Prism Venture Partners, as VP of Business Development.

In this newly created role, Engel is responsible for expanding Dyn’s market position and revenue growth by fostering new business initiatives, driving key strategic partnerships and leading the corporate development efforts.

Engel spent more than 10 years working with privately held technology companies across various stages in both operating and investing capacities. Most recently, he was a partner at Prism Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm that focused on software and services.

Prior to working at Prism, Engel held finance and business development roles at GeoTrust, a SaaS provider of SSL and other trusted certificates, culminating in driving a $125M sale to VeriSign on the board’s behalf.
