The Springs Events, a Texas-based company that has been the host of countless special events throughout Texas for many years has announced its decision to expand outside of the Lone Star State and into Oklahoma. As a means of accommodating the company’s growth, The Springs Events’ website has also recently undergone a complete redesign to help visitors better navigate through the site and find the venue that best meets their individual needs and preferences.
On Thursday, September 26, 2013, The Springs Events made the announcement that it would be expanding outside of the Texas border to build “Skiatook Springs,” a new event venue on Skiatook Lake in Oklahoma. The $2 million project will produce a 9,200 square-foot event venue that can be used for a myriad of special events, including wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as corporate and group events.
“Skiatook is going to be our prettiest location,” says Larry Kruzie, one of the owners of The Springs Events. “…We love elevation and trees. Then we have that beautiful lake. So we have trees and a view. It doesn’t get much better than that anywhere in the United States.”
Currently operating a total of ten event venues throughout Texas, including Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, this will be the company’s first expansion outside of the state since its foundation in 2009. However, this will not be the only venture for The Springs Events within Oklahoma, as the company is currently in the construction stages of another Springs venue in Edmond, Oklahoma. As for Skiatook Springs, organizers have been scheduled to break ground in February 2014, and the venue is expected to open in October of the same year.
The Springs Events’ new multisite website design already includes the new Oklahoma locations, though visitors will have to wait until both projects have been completed to view more information, as well as pictures of each new venue. Until then, The Springs Events invites guests to browse through the new website, which now features a rustic yet elegant forest green background with deep chocolate accents, and experience the ease-of-use that it now has to offer.
This new multisite feature allows website visitors to select their desired event location and to choose from a list of venues within that city on the next page. Once that decision has been made, visitors can simply click on their selection, which will then take them to a new branch of the main website that is strictly dedicated to that particular venue. On the company’s previous website, visitors only had the option to view pictures of a particular venue as they scrolled through their options on the “Locations” tab.
Paired with the new responsive development that the site was redesigned with, which allows the site to adapt and adjust to the screen size of any device the user prefers, these upgrades serve as a testament to just how important user experience is to The Springs Events and the level of importance the company places on client satisfaction.
