It's humbling to think that people are inspired by my story. Just a few year ago, I was on other side of classroom with big dreams.

UsTrendy has taken the fashion world by storm and democratized an often top down industry.

Designers around the world post their items on the UsTrendy website, where customers are able to then purchase the items directly. In addition, based on voting and other consumer feedback, the top-rated designs are produced and promoted. For the first time, consumers have a say in the clothing that a fashion company promotes and produces, while independent designers are given funding and major promotion for their clothing lines.

In Five Years, UsTrendy has become one of the largest fashion design sites on the web, with almost half a million designs uploaded from 17,000 fashion designers. The company has provided independent fashion designers with millions of dollars in sales. Certain designers have received their own runway shows in major fashion weeks, such as London Fashion week, enabling them to capture mainstream exposure.

Sisakhti hits the road this Fall with a College Speak tour with stops across the country. He sets out to create learning which is more pragmatic and real-world based, rather than conceptual business formulas, while motivating students to pursue their passions.

"It's humbling to think that people are inspired by my story. Just a few year ago, I was on other side of classroom with big dreams. It's great to return to college classrooms and provide my insight and share my lessons with students," says Founder Sam Sisakhti.

Through his stories and advice, he pulls back the covers and exposes what it is really important vs. just text book fluff. Through his lectures he will misspell some of the misconceptions of the business world, what skills it really takes to create a business, and other nuggets of information.
