Mount Pleasant Retirement Village, a continuing care retirement community in Southwest Ohio, recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.
More than 350 Mount Pleasant residents, staff and guests got together Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, to mark 60 years of caring and quality services for older adults.
The Monroe, Ohio, retirement village enjoyed an old-fashioned hoedown.
Executive Director Stan Kappers opened the celebration with a historic overview of the campus, a heartfelt blessing and a sincere thank you to residents, employees, volunteers, donors and those who have gone before.
Attendees dressed in Western attire enjoyed a pig roast, bluegrass music and horse-drawn trolley rides around the campus.
