The annual “Women Who Lead” breakfast was held on October 4, 2013 at The Strand Bistro in Birmingham. The recognition breakfast spotlighted several women across the region who have demonstrated leadership in their industries and communities.
Blaker was delighted to be included at this event stating, “It is important to recognize and honor the contributions that women make within their communities and in their professions. In attendance at this event, were many powerful women who have earned significant achievements. It was awesome!”
Other women who were recognized included: Irma Elder, Donna Inch, Connie Holzer, Nancy Maxwell, Paula Silver, Mary Liz Curtin, Debbie Dingell, Lou Anna Simon, Dr. Tami Powell, Dimata Williams and several others. All of the women recognized at this event, were also featured guest on the “Women Who Lead” program that airs on 760 AM/WJR radio.
Lori Blaker has received numerous recognitions recently. As the head of one of the fastest growing women-led organizations in North America, her leadership skills continue to be lauded by the business community. In 2012 President/CEO Lori Blaker received the “Leader of Leaders” Award from Leadership Oakland.
