Grand Junction, CO (PRWEB) October 11, 2013
On Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Junction hotel teams up with The House, and gives its time towards efforts to support local homeless teens. A 15-member team from the hotel will be at The House 9 a.m. to noon, assisting with landscaping and deep-cleaning projects to keep the facilities in optimal condition. With approximately 100 homeless teens in Grand Junction each year, every contribution matters and the DoubleTree Grand Junction hotel is proud to be a partner of this charitable organization.
The House is a Grand Junction-based charity that provides counseling and emotional support to at-risk, homeless teens, giving them the chance to move towards self-sufficiency and stability. A safe place for homeless youth on the Western Slope, the charity aims to create a state-wide model for this type of initiative in the hopes that useful resources will become readily available for those in need throughout Colorado.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Junction hotel is newly renovated and overlooks the lush valley and beautiful bluffs of the Grand Mesa Plateau. Located minutes from Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT), the hotel provides guests with easy access to I-70, West Star Aviation, St. Mary’s Hospital, Colorado Mesa University, local vineyards and wineries and historic Downtown Grand Junction.
