myPotential Rehabilitation Receives High Satisfaction Ratings from Guests

The Village at Rockville—A National Lutheran Community (TVAR) in Rockville, Md., formerly known as the National Lutheran Home, received high marks from guests who experienced its short-term rehabilitation program called myPotential. Approximately 95 percent of guests would recommend myPotential to others.

The Maryland Health Care Commission’s (MHCC) 2013 Short Stay Resident Survey measures a short-stay resident’s experience and satisfaction, as well as drawing comparisons between other nursing facilities in Maryland that provide short-term rehabilitation. A total of 77 facilities state-wide participated.

TVAR’s myPotential program received an overall rating of 8.7 out of 10, exceeding the overall statewide average of 7.9. The overall rating for care by staff was 8.5 out of 10, exceeding the statewide average of 8. Of the 43 survey questions, 39 of them exceeded 2012’s results and in many cases, exceeded statewide results.

myPotential is a coaching to wellness model for short-term rehabilitation, with a focus on holistic health and personalized details. myPotential features private suites in a spa-like environment, offering physical, speech and occupational therapies.
