"I'm excited to have been recognized among this group of hard-working students. I'm determined to stay focused throughout the rest of my senior year at Country Day."
Metairie, LA (PRWEB) October 15, 2013
Metairie Park Country Day School senior Keil Senter has been recognized as a 2014 National Merit Scholarship® Semifinalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Keil’s exceptional scores distinguished her among 1.5 million students who took the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test during their junior year, and maintained an outstanding academic record throughout their high school career. Of the 1.5 million entrants in the program, 16,000 become Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of each state’s high school seniors.
Approximately 15,000 Semifinalists are expected to advance to the Finalist level, and in February they will be notified of this designation. Merit Scholar designees are selected on the basis of their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
"I'm excited to have been recognized among this group of hard-working students, and determined to stay focused throughout the rest of my senior year at Country Day," said Senter.
Metairie Park Country Day School is an independent, non-sectarian, private Pre-K through grade 12 school in Metairie, LA.
