Popular Austin Brand Approaching 15 Years in Business; Has Donated Over $50K from over 210,000 Cookies Sold at Grand Openings to Raise Money for Charities Such as Foster Angels

This coming Saturday, October 26, much-loved Austin brand, Tiff’s Treats, will celebrate the grand opening of its fifth area store, this one in South Austin at William Cannon and Mopac. The grand opening will include a fundraiser for Foster Angels of Central Texas, a non-profit that helps foster kids in the Travis and Williamson counties and surrounding areas. The grand opening activities will run from 9 am to 4 pm, Saturday, October 26, at 4301 W. William Cannon, Building E, Suite 210.

Tiff’s Treats has become known for its grand opening fundraisers and this, the company’s 11th, will be similar, with a box of warm cookies selling for $4/dozen, with all proceeds, up to $5,000, going to Foster Angels (http://fosterangelsctx.org/). Sales at this event are cash only, with a maximum of five dozen per customer, and will include the three popular flavors: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle or oatmeal raisin. Tiff’s Treats’ warm cookie concept normally requires a 30-minute notice for pick-up orders or one hour for delivery. For the grand opening fundraiser, no advance order is required, and customers can simply walk in to the new store and purchase hot cookies throughout the day.

Additionally, the first 10 people in line will get a $100 gift card to Tiff’s Treats, the next 10 will get a $50 gift card, the next 10 will get $25 and the fourth set of 10 will get a $10 gift card, incentive to show up early to support Tiff’s Treats’ newest Austin store! Local restaurants, businesses and companies have also donated prizes that are randomly inserted into boxes. And one lucky winner will get Free Tiff’s Treats for 1 Year. Deb O’Keefe of 101X will also be at the opening live and on air from 1 to 3 pm.

Founded in 1999, Tiff’s Treats will celebrate 15 years in business next year. What started with two friends baking cookies at University of Texas to help fellow students get through exams has now grown to 13 stores with this newest South Austin location. And the company is consistently focused on giving back. With 10 grand opening charity fundraising events so far, Tiff’s Treats has donated more than $50,000 to worthy charities. In those 10 grand opening days, the company has sold over 17,700 dozen cookies, or over 210,000 cookies!

“We are so proud of how this business has grown and we give credit to our amazing employees and the customers who have become such loyal fans of Tiff’s Treats,” said Leon Chen, Tiff’s Treats co-founder. “Our grand opening events are always fun and very rewarding to us, to have our customers help us give back to those in need. We are thrilled to be focused again on Foster Angels for this South Austin opening.”

Chen serves on the board of directors of Foster Angels which has a mission to improve the lives of children in foster care, ensuring that each child has basic needs met, and to provide life-enriching and life-enhancing experiences whenever possible. Foster Angels helps kids by working with social workers to fill some of the unmet needs. Sometimes these are necessities like contact lens solution and beds; other times, Foster Angels grants special wishes such as a new bike or a prom dress. This organization has yet to turn down a request for foster children in Central Texas and the support from Tiff’s Treats will help that continue.

By adding this William Cannon location, Tiff’s Treats covers the greater Austin area map, delivering warm cookies, straight from the oven, to businesses and homes from South Austin all the way north to Round Rock. Tiff’s Treats is a delicious idea for dessert delivery to your home or business, client gifts and meeting snacks, birthday gifts, a memorable thank you gift, a sweet-tooth fix and more. Baked fresh when you order from premium ingredients, all cookies and brownies are delivered warm in a white box complete with a colorful ribbon.

Tiff’s Treats at William Cannon will be open for regular business as of Sunday, October 27 at 10 am. It joins Tiff’s other Austin locations at Campus, Westlake, Round Rock and by Seton North off 183. The 5 Austin locations join 8 others in the Dallas and Houston areas. The newest store at 4301 W. William Cannon, Building E, Suite 210, 78749 can be reached at 512-687-6800.
