Local Physical Therapy Group Helps Tennis Center Celebrate 20 Years
Glendale, AZ (PRWEB) October 18, 2013 -- Ideal Physical Therapy, who is in a partnership with Paseo Racquet Center, will be helping the tennis center celebrate 20 years under the Prudhomme Family’s ownership this Saturday October 19th.
Named the “City of Glendale’s USTA Award Winning Tennis Facility,’ Paseo Racquet Center has been offering tennis programs to the community for 20 years under the Prudhomme family’s ownership.
"When we started doing this back in 1993, we had no idea we would still be doing it 20 years later. Can't wait to celebrate our 40th, we just signed for another 20 years with the city last year,” said Ed Prudhomme, owner of Paseo.
People from all ages attend the racquet center on a daily basis to either take classes, or play for fun.
Earlier this year, Paseo Racquet Center teamed up with Ideal Physical Therapy to offer injury screenings and injury advice to their tennis players at certain tournaments or events like the one coming up on Saturday.
Some players who frequently attend Paseo Racquet Center have experienced tennis injuries or pain, and it was important the center connect them with physical therapists in the area so they could ask questions about their conditions and seek further treatment.
Kerilyn Graham, Partner Physical Therapist from the Metro Ideal Physical Therapy Clinic has been an active part in these free injury screenings and enjoys helping those who are in pain to get them back on the courts. “I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone involved at the tennis club and look forward to future events with them. Our relationship with Paseo has really facilitated a team approach toward successful injury prevention with a positive experience with playing tennis.”
Ideal Physical Therapy hopes to continue offering injury advice to Paseo Racquet Center attendees for more years to come.
The event will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm and will feature free tennis, live music, food and fun.
A prize raffle will also be held to celebrate Paseo’s National Youth Tennis Foundation. Click here for more event details.
