Nonprofit Supports Combat-wounded, Their Families, and Families of the Fallen

I am deeply honored to be a part of the Advisory Board for Hope For The Warriors®. This is an organization that I have been close to for many years because of the magnificent support they have provided to servicemen and women, and their families.

Hope For The Warriors® is pleased to announce Major General James A. Kessler, USMC (Ret.) has joined the nonprofit’s Advisory Council. Kessler retired from the Marine Corps in fall 2013 after 33 years of service and has been a longtime supporter of Hope For The Warriors®. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.

"I am deeply honored to be a part of the Advisory Board for Hope For The Warriors®,” Kessler said. “This is an organization that I have been close to for many years because of the magnificent support they have provided to servicemen and women, and their families. I am proud to be associated with such a great organization."

Before retiring, Kessler was the Commanding General, Marine Corps Installations Command and concurrently served as Assistant Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics (Facilities). Kessler was also commander of 2d Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

“Major General Kessler courageously served our country for more than 30 years and through our organization, he will continue to serve military families,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® president, said. “Hope For The Warriors® is proud that he has joined our Advisory Council.”

The mission of Hope For The Warriors® (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org) is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.

Hope For The Warriors® has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator (http://www.charitynavigator.org) for two consecutive years. Charity Navigator is an independent organization that evaluates fiscal responsibility and accountability of nonprofits.
