Aonix Signals Asia Expansion with Ultra High Performance Composites Center in Taiwan
Ottawa, Canada and Taichung City, Taiwan (PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- On September 30 2013, Jerome Le Corvec, Aonix Advanced Materials Corp. (http://www.aonixcorp.com) president and CEO, and Dr. Chia-Juch Chang, Minister of Economic Affairs, Taiwan, R.O.C. signed a Letter of Intent that acknowledges the importance of Aonix’ technology and services to the enhancement of Taiwan’s global competitiveness in high performance composites (HPC) development and manufacturing.
The Letter of Intent sets the stage for the launch of Aonix Advanced Materials Asia, the Asia headquarters and center for the development and delivery of Aonix’ industry-leading UltraMaterials™ high-volume ultra high performance composite manufacturing system solutions to electronics and sporting goods OEMs, ODMs and OBMs in Taiwan and throughout ASEA. Aonix engineers, designers, project management, and business development professionals will be in place in the fourth quarter of 2013 and Aonix Advanced Materials Asia will be fully operational by the third quarter of 2014.
Jerome Le Corvec, Aonix Advanced Materials Corp. president and CEO said that the company chose Taiwan for three reasons: “Taiwan-based manufacturers dominate many consumer electronics and sporting goods product categories, the country is at the center of one of the world’s most comprehensive composite materials supply chains, and Taiwan has a world class record of delivering the innovations that global brands, ODMs and OEMs need to maintain and grow their markets. We are very excited to be setting up shop in Taiwan.”
Aonix Advanced Materials Asia will be located in Taichung City, in Central Taiwan. Taichung City, the 2013 Intelligent Community of the Year, is a major design and manufacturing center for the global electronics and sporting goods markets and an emerging hub of precision machinery and manufacturing automation expertise.
