Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation Names New Washington Dulles Hub Director
Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation today announced it has promoted Sumanth Reddimalla to the position of Hub Director at their Washington Dulles hub operation, reporting directly to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Vince Portaro. In his new role, Reddimalla will assume responsibility for all decisions relevant to the United Express operations, in addition to monitoring and measuring Air Wisconsin’s operations to maximize cost effectiveness, while ensuring operational quality and reliability.
“Sumanth has excelled in a progressive range of positions since he started with Air Wisconsin in Lexington, Kentucky over 15 years ago,” noted Portaro. ‘Since filling the role of Interim Dulles Hub Director in September, Sumanth has performed at a high level with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety, while fostering positive collaborations with United Airlines and our flying partners.”
Since joining Air Wisconsin in 1998, Reddimalla has assumed increasing responsibility in the positions of station supervisor in Louisville, Kentucky, general manager in Syracuse, New York and White Plains, NY to hub business manager in Washington Dulles, Virginia. He was also an airport operations supervisor for United Airlines from 2005 to 2008 at the Washington Dulles Airport.
Reddimalla studied business management at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
Air Wisconsin, the largest independently held regional airline in the United States, operates as US Airways Express, scheduling nearly 500 departures per day to 70 cities in 26 states and two Canadian provinces. The fleet includes 71 Canadair Regional Jets (CRJ-200). Additionally, Air Wisconsin performs ground-handling services for several carriers in 15 locations including United Airline’s United Express hub operation at Washington Dulles International Airport.
